Emma is an award-winning journalist who loves outdoor narratives, community story telling and environmental news. She is the special editions editor at Boulder Weekly, and her work has been featured in 5280, Alpinist, Bivy Tales, Climbing, College Outside, Colorado Parent, Colorado Yoga + Life Magazine, Edible Rhody, Misadventure Magazine, Mountain Independent, OutThere Colorado, REI's Co-op Journal, and Rock and Ice. In 2016 she graduated from Brown University with degrees in Non-Fiction English and Moral Philosophy.
She is currently working on her first book Sola, an account of a seven-month solo adventure in South America—a journey through new landscapes, a changing mind, people, and souls.
As an editor, Emma takes on a range of projects including novels, personal essays, works of fiction and poetry. She can provide both copy- and line-edits, as well as deeper thematic and narrative guidance. Her lens is clean, concise and adaptable. Contact her for any questions or inquiries.
In her free time, Emma will be in the mountains. She climbs, runs, teaches yoga, loves building fires and is a proud ambassador to the No Man's Land Film Festival.
